Duration:

Duration of contest: 7-9 November 2023. The contest starts upon the opening of the TransLogistica Poland trade fair in Warsaw and ends at 3 p.m. on the last day of the fair.

Stages of the contest:

The contest has two stages: a quiz on logistics knowledge and a practical test on a VR truck driving simulator. The quiz is open to those who have completed the application form. After completing the practical stage the scores from both stages will be totalled. If the contestant, it will become possible to collect the prize if the contestant surpass the score threshold for the corresponding prize pool.

Entering the contest:

Contestants wishing to enter the contest must voluntarily register at the TVM fair stand staff. Staff will provides prospective contestants with a device to register their details including: nickname or full name, e-mail address and telephone number, and contestants must also give their consent to be contacted to enable the organiser to reach the contestant. Once the contestant has entered their details, they return the device to the staff, who will then activate the quiz and pass it on to the contestant.

Time to complete the quiz:

Each contestant has 5 minutes to complete the entire quiz, counting from the moment the contestant starts reading the quiz. After 5 minutes has elapsed, the quiz will no longer be editable and the score awarded will correspond to the current score at that moment.

Time for the practical part:

Each participant has 10 minutes to complete the route on the VR simulator. After this time, he loses all points at his disposal. During the route, the participant performs the task of fastening the trailer, if he fails to do so, he loses points.

Number of points to be scored:

A participant can earn a maximum of 630 points for both parts of the competition - 430 points for quiz answers and 200 points for a flawless run on the VR machine.

The organiser may prepare several combinations of questions on logistics industry knowledge; however, each quiz variant carries an equal number of points. No negative points will be awarded for an incorrect answer in the quiz. Contestants completing the quiz, should proceed to the second stage of the competition, namely truck driving via the VR simulator. Before starting the driving test, each contestant has 200 points at their disposal, which may be lost during the driving due to mistakes committed. Each contestant in the driving test is given the same route. Correct answers will be emailed to contestants up to 1 month after the fair.

Dynamic prizes:

Contestants who complete the first and second stages of the competition may claim one prize from the prize pool, or claim a level III prize if they achieve the number of points assigned to the pool:

1st prize pool: windscreen scraper, luggage tag or folding measuring tape – if the contestant exceeds a total of 189 points from both stages.

2nd prize pool: torch, scented candle – if the contestant exceeds a total of 315 points from both stages.

Level III prize: picnic blanket – if the contestant exceeds a total of 441 points from both stages.

Grand prize:

As well as the dynamic prize, each contestant stands a chance of winning the grand prize. The grand prize is a travel suitcase, which will be awarded to the best participant from a given day. The grand prize pool therefore comprises three travel suitcases – one each for the overall winner of that day. The ranking for determining the grand prize winner will be formed by totalling the contestant’s points from the quiz, the VR driving simulation and any additional points awarded for the time taken to complete the quiz.

Points for quiz completion time will only be awarded to the top scoring contestants in the quiz.

For completion below 4 minutes and 30 seconds, an additional 10 points will be awarded.

For completion below 3 minutes, an additional 20 points will be awarded.

For completion below 2 minutes and 30 seconds, an additional 30 points will be awarded.

For completion below 2 minutes, an additional 40 points will be awarded.

For completion below 1 minute and 30 seconds, an additional 50 points will be awarded.

Once a contestant takes the quiz, he/she cannot retake it.

The organiser will contact the winners no later than the day following the determination of each grand prize winner. In the case of the grand prize for 9 November, the organiser will send the prize by post once the shipping address has been agreed with the winner.

If a contestant provides incorrect details, resulting in them being unable to be contacted, the prize will be awarded to the next person in the ranking.

Information clause to the terms and conditions:

1.The controller of your personal data provided upon entering the contest is TVM Transport Logistics sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Studzienice (hereinafter: “Controller”).

2.The personal data provided (nickname, telephone number, e-mail address) will be processed in order for the Controller to organise and run the contest – based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). Providing this data is optional, although necessary to enter the contest.

3.The personal data will be processed for the duration of the contest and for the time necessary to select the winners and hand over the prizes, but no later than 10 November 2023.

4.The Controller will not transfer the personal data to any third parties. Furthermore, the personal data will not be processed by any automated means.

5.You may revoke your consent to the processing of your data at any time, however such revocation may render it impossible to take your result into consideration for the selection of the winners. The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent prior to its revocation.

6.With respect to the processing of your personal data by the Controller, you have the following rights: the right to access your personal data, the right to request the rectification of your personal data, the right to request the erasure of your personal data, the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data, the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in charge of personal data protection, i.e. the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection (Warsaw, ul.
